Tonight, the fog lifted just enough to reveal the crescent moon above Fort Hill — a soft curve of light hanging over rooftops, steeples, and the green dome that watches over Main Street. I stood at the window, thinking of my friend who shared this Ramadan with me, and of the quiet ache that comes when a season of reflection nears its end.
This Eid, I wanted to offer something simple: a blessing painted into the skyline. So I brushed the town in twilight strokes and added a crescent moon — not just for tradition, but for tenderness. The caption says it all: “Happy EID MUBARAK… From Peekskill wishing for you that this EID Allah blesses you with happiness, success and PEACE!” It’s a wish for those near and far. For those who fasted and prayed. For those who watched from the sidelines but felt the rhythm of the season in their bones. For those who need a little peace, a little success, a little happiness — and maybe a little forgiveness, too. From this hillside town by the Hudson, I send it out with love.
