-Tony Bennett Most often, my blogs draw inspiration from photographs I find while browsing through my various laptops. These images prompt smiles and a sense of nostalgia for times past, as well as an appreciation for the present where, in many ways, little has changed. For me, Castro is the Motherland—the place that propelled me out of my backward South Carolina past and shaped me into who I am today. That's why I consider San Francisco my home. It was the first place that truly accepted me for who I am and helped me to improve. Now begins a new chapter in Peekskill and New York, filled with the wonderful people I've been meeting here... The place to be on September 29th, 2024, is the Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco, California. While tourists often enjoy riding San Francisco cable cars, locals have various reasons why they might not use cable cars as frequently:
Despite these factors, cable cars remain an integral part of San Francisco’s charm and history. For visitors, riding a cable car is still a must-do experience, offering scenic views and a taste of the city’s past.
Once upon a time this was our view from the roof of our Dolores Street apartment. We called it Sanchez Hill aka Eureka Valley/Noe Valley area of San Francisco.
