This Renaissance Revival style building on South Division Street in downtown Peekskill was originally known as the James Dempsey Building and was erected in 1910. The triangular building conforms to its triangular block shaped as a "flat iron."
In 1915, a Ford car dealership was located here, followed by the Wishing Well Bookstore. The upper floors are currently occupied as artist studios, the ground floor, Bucko! and the popular Peekskill Coffee House. It's a building one never gets tired of photographing as weather and light changes.
